I am happy to announce the official Call for Papers for SIGITE 2011 on October 20-22, 2011. This year’s conference will be held in the historic Thayer Hotel, on the grounds of the US Military Academy in West Point, New York.
Rich in history, nearly 3 million people a year visit the picturesque campus and its visitor’s center, museum, musical concerts, or any of the many historic sites in the nearby vicinity of the campus. If that wasn’t attractive enough, the campus is only 40 miles north of New York City, so SIGITE 2011 promises to be one of the most appealing computer conferences of 2011.
This year’s program will contain keynote lectures, paper sessions, panels, posters, and exhibits and will provide a forum for sharing and developing ideas relating to Information Technology research and to our roles as professionals, educators, and advocates for the effective use of Information Technology.
Previous SIGITE conferences have had acceptance rates around 40%. Due to the very attractive location, we are expecting to have significantly more submitted papers than in previous years, so the quality of the papers should be excellent. So be sure to mark October 20-22, 2011 on your calendar and plan on attending this year’s SIGITE. Even better, check out
the CFP and submit a paper, poster, or panel proposal in order to participate in what is likely to be the best SIGITE yet!
